Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Chicago, IL (On-site with WFH Fridays; potential for full remote)
Salary: \(50,000 - \)60,000/year, plus bonus eligibility
We are excited to announce an opening for an accomplished Bookkeeper at a prominent mid-sized advertising agency in Chicago. This role is available due to an impending retirement, offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to secure a long-term position within a vibrant and supportive workplace.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be integral in upholding the financial integrity of the agency’s records. Our organization utilizes a streamlined software called Advantage, akin to popular bookkeeping platforms, ensuring a seamless transition into your new role. You will be part of a small, cohesive team of approximately 25 dedicated professionals, situated in a prime location on Michigan Avenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and generate regular financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting whenever necessary.
- Collaborate with the finance team on various accounting assignments as required.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and proficiency in bookkeeping software (Experience with Advantage or comparable tools is advantageous).
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to operate autonomously while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
